In 2006 Dale and Lisa Moore purchased the old bank building at 600 Main Street and renovated it into a premier Café and Gift Shop offering Seattle’s Best Coffee, panini style sandwiches, soups, salads, and homemade baked goods. The Gift Shop offers such premier lines as Vera Bradley, Pandora Jewelry, Crabtree and Evelyn, Yankee Candle and other gift lines. Dale Moore is an entrepreneur who began his own business Moore’s Electrical and Mechanical and grew it to a company with more than 400 employees today. Dale has a creative mind that loves to create new ideas and begin new businesses.
“Dale has the ability to see an old building or land and envision the beauty of what it can become,” stated Lisa, his wife. “He has really enjoyed contributing to the town atmosphere as it seeks to contribute to the downtown revitalization process through his creative ideas and high quality expectations.”
Then in June 2008 another building was available for sale which was in the middle of downtown and once again Dale’s creative mind was flowing with new ideas. As the outside renovation took place, Dale and Lisa brainstormed ideas for the business that it would house. In visiting many different Main Street communities, they often saw a General Store that offered a variety of products, so the idea of The General Store developed. Dale quickly sketched out the plan for three rooms upstairs that are more upscale in its offerings and would accommodate the business or out-of-town traveler.
Dale and Lisa are most thankful for the opportunities that God has given them to give back to the community.
